how to achieve this in salesforce -

i have 2 object enquery_c , payment.enquery object have 1 field opportunityorder_c , payment__c object have tow fields po_text__x , po_date.

my requirement enter field opportunityorder__c , automatically update object 2 fields po_text__c , po_date__ updated automatically.can please tell me how solve task.

if relation between enquery_c , payment master-detail relationship can did workflow, else trigger on enquery__c after update.
