Using Tomcat manager in tomcat 7.0 + spring MVC, Webapp reload gives apachelifecycle exception -

using tomcat manager in tomcat 7.0 + sping mvc, webapp reload gives apachelifecycle exception. starts fine , works fine when started normally. after startup reloading webapp, use tomcat manager. in tomcat manager, upon clicking reload button says reload successful ( enables start button). upon clicking start button in tomcat throws apachelifecyle exception. please help...
